What began as a digital fundraising program became a new conservation brand that solved 60-year old organizational problems for Friends of the National Zoo. My vision for Conservation Nation allowed us to market to broader and more diverse audiences while using digital platforms and micro-donations to democratize conservation philanthropy dramatically increasing our fundraising potential. Compelling storytelling and science were the core of engaging people with conservation projects around the world. Conservation Nation helped fund initiatives like providing safe nest boxes for penguins in Africa, thermography equipment for Asian elephant healthcare, and a rehabilitation center to study the health of pangolins.
